    Description

WWII German Mauser M1884/98 Bayonet with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked "3733" over "q" on one side and on the reverse is "jwh" which stands for Staatliche, Waffenfabrik, Chatellerault, France. The wood grips have small nicks/chips scattered throughout, there is also a "W" or "M" carved into one grip, and they do wiggle a bit. The spine is marked "43" for 1943. The blade has not been sharpened, has some nicks on the blade edge, and it is missing the last 1/16" from the tip. The pommel has a double Waffenampt mark "WaA251". Lock button is functional. The scabbard has "8087" over "n" on one side and on the backside is "jwh" over "43". The scabbard is solid with four small dings, has a little bit of light surface rust, and the ball finial is very faintly Waffenampt marked but illegible. Length of the blade measures 9 13/16" (1" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 15 1/16", and overall in the scabbard it is 15 15/16".
