"GORGEOUS AND RARE VINTAGE ORIGINAL ,  RETRO 1950s MID CENTURTY ~  4 PIECE MATCHING HARTMAN HARD CASE ~ NESTING SUITCASE LUGGAGE / TRAIN SET ~ COLORS: BLACK + BEIGE ~ BEAUTIFUL LAVENDER SILK INTERIOR"
I recently obtained this luggage set at a local estate sale and are they ever Cool!
HIGHLIGHTS:
These are high quality made by the Hartman Company in the Mid 1950s.  The black and beige colors give it a major Art Deco Vibe.
The inside compartments are done in a Soft dusty lavender colored silk which compliments the outside colors perfectly.   The largest of the four suitcases has 4 of the original white Signed Hartman Plastic Hangers as well as three compartment
separator's inside as shown in my pictures.
The train case has the sitting tray inside as shown.
All of the silk linings in these suitcases are in awesome condition with no issues.  No tears, odors or stains.
These all have white hard plastic bottom floor guards as shown.
FLAWS:
The mirror inside the train case has a crack running through the upper top portion as shown.
The beige tweed outside sections are showing some wear / scuff marks.  These can be seen but as is expected it is normal wear for being 65 yeas old. The largest case shows the most age.
OVER ALL THIS IS AN EYE CATCHING AND RARE SET
The luggage measures, (When sitting flat bottom down on floor):
Largest Suitcase:   22 1/2" Wide  x  8 1/2"  High  x  17" Deep
Medium Suitcase:  22 1/2" Wide  x  7 1/2"  High  x  14 1/2" Deep
Smaller Suitcase:  19" Wide  x  6 1/4" High  x  9" Deep
Train / Make Up Case:  15 1/4" Wide  x  8 1/2" High  x  9" Deep

I try my very best to be accurate with both my pictures and descriptions.  Please keep in mind that you are bidding on a VINTAGE set of luggage.  These are over 65 years old.  They are awesome pieces of Vintage Retro History as well as Art in my opinion.  BUT, they are not perfect.  Nothing this old is.  It is the flaws with something like this that gives an antique its charm and character.
So if you are someone who is looking for perfection, PLEASE DO NOT BID
