  • Condition: A few scuffs and stains on exterior. Interior has some areas where the adhesive dried up and is causing fabric to separate from the shell. Tie down ribbon is missing and another is loose. Inside is clean, but there are age-related stains. Chrome is shiny. Inside smells powdery.

    Description

    Vintage American Tourister Tiara suitcase has off white exterior and light blue brocade satin fabric interior.  Suitcase measures approximately 21” x 15” x 6”.  There are two fabric pouches that snap to the sides..  One zips closed.  The other has an elastic top.  There is also a non-removable fabric pocket along the long side of the interior opposite the handle. Scuffs on the outside from normal use.  Age-related stains inside.  One tie-down ribbon is missing.  Another is loose. Interior lining is coming loose in one corner and the edge near the handle.  This could probably be glued down, but I will leave this up to the buyer to repair or not.  This is probably due to degradation of the adhesive.  Suitcase is probably made around 1960, but apparently had not been used for decades.  Silver tone metal hardware and trim is shiny. Includes American Tourister luggage tag and two keys.  Suitcase smells like powder - not musty or plasticky like many of these old suitcases.
