    This vintage postcard shows the Mecca Motel, 8145 Calumet Avenue, Munster, Indiana. This card is in good condition — EXCEPT for holes punched In the card so it could fit in a notebook the owner used to preserve travel memories. In addition, the address side has tape stains on front and black. Study photos carefully to see  these blemishes. I’m not sure of the age of this card, but the phone number (Temple 6639) suggests possibly 1950s. The text on the card asserts “open year-round - new and beautifully furnished units with tile showers, television and radio. … Closest to Chicago.” The card was published by National Press, Inc., North Chicago.
