You are looking at a beautiful addition to your American Flyer or S scale collection. As you know, S-Helper is no more, but MTH picked up the line. Now, with MTH selling that line to another company, who knows what we will see?? This engine was not made is massive numbers and is tough to come by. And you can never have enough B units in your line-up!  Who doesn't love the Warbonnet paint scheme?

You can run this engine conventionally or using MTH's handy dandy DCS digital system.
With two flywheel-equipped motors, the M.T.H. F3 duplicates the bulldog tenacity of its prototype. Proto-Sound 3.0 offers authentic EMD 567 prime mover sounds, a first-generation diesel horn and bell, crew and station sounds, and the ability to maintain any speed down to 3 scale miles per hour. The model features the "chicken wire" screens and rectangular rooftop dynamic brake grilles that characterize most F3s, as well as a host of added-on details - including legible builder's plates, grab irons, steam generator exhaust stack (for passenger car heating), windshield wipers, and trucks with separately-applied spring hangers and brake cylinders.

CONDITION:
This B unit has been used but is in great shape. Tested and operates conventionally and via DCS. Cosmetically, this unit looks fantastic. Box shows a little wear. With all paperwork and extras.
Note: The item (and its A unit cousin) were originally shown in the 2013 catalog, but it did not get delivered to customers until 2017.

Terms of Sale

We do accept returns within 30 days. Unless there was an error on our end, return shipping is paid by the buyer and the price of the item is refunded upon receipt of iback at Lone Star Trains. If we made a mistake, we pay the return shipping. Items must be in the same condition as when we shipped. We cannot accept returns on orders that were shipped new and then opened. If there is a problem, such as an error in description or condition, we accept returns within 30 days.
