Overall Dimensions: Height 41” main box, 47” at vice and push handles, 43 ½” long x 18” wide. Modified at US Steel to roll around and work in different parts of the Steel Mill.
Very Unique-one of kind.
Allis-Chalmer 6 Drawer toolbox is the middle of a shop made push box.
Made with high-quality cold rolled steel.
The main toolbox still has its glossy anti-rust and corrosion-resistant paint.
The modification part could use a paint job.
4 drawers are 3” high, 22 ½” wide, 16 ¼” deep.
1 drawer are 6 ¼” high, 22 ½” wide, 16 ¼” deep.
Bottom opens as a cabinet which led flips up and rolls back into the toolbox, that unlocks the other drawers.
All drawers have solid rubber liners and most have organizers in them.
It comes with a 4” inch working vice.
Worksurface is 18” W x26” L, 10 Gauge Metal under the rubber work surface. On top of toolbox top.
At both ends of the main toolbox, boxes were built out of steel and welded on to frame and toolbox.
Both side boxes are 8”deep x 18” wide x 25” high.
Built on angle iron base with three haul master wheels (8”), one swivel wheel making it easy to move around corners, etc…
Whole toolbox is 5” off the ground.
It has a push bar handle on one end for easy mobility.
It does have a place for T-shape handle.
Weight is really a question since it was manmade.
I would guess maybe 200-250 lbs.
