    Description

    This 1939 linen postcard shows two interior views of the old cathedral in Vincennes, Indiana:  1) the crypt, burial place of the first four bishops of Vincennes diocese, bust of Bishop Brute on right" and 2) the "original altar used by early bishops, showing the Mecca for Thousands Shrine."  Manufactured by Curt Teich, the postcard is standard size (5.5" x 3.5"), production number 9A-H1470, and used with a 1945 cancel.  See both scans for the condition.
