Betadine Surgical Scrub
This antiseptic sudsing skin cleanser is a germicidal cleanser used for preoperative and postoperative scrubbing and washing. Ideal for preparation of the skin prior to surgery and helping to reduce bacteria that can potentially cause skin infections. Betadine is for us on companion animals, including dogs, cats and horses and not for use on food producing animals.

Betadine Surgical Scrub contains 7.5% povidone iodine and is an antiseptic, bactericidal, virucidal, sudsing skin cleanser. This microbicidal cleanser promptly kills a broad spectrum of pathogens. It is used for hand hygiene, surgical hand-scrubbing, and topical preparation of patient's skin prior to surgery. Contains detergents so this product must be rinsed off. Supplied as either a 16 oz or 1 gal bottle.
Ingredients:
Betadine Surgical Scrub contains Povidone-odine (7.5%) - equal to 0.75% available iodine. Also contains ammonium nonoxynol-4-sulfate, nonoxynol-9, purified water, sodium hydroxide.
Indications:
Betadine Surgical Scrub is a germicidal cleanser used for preoperative and postoperative scrubbing.
Directions for use:
Surgical hand scrub - wet hands with water, pour about 5 cc (1 teaspoonful) of Scrub on the palm of the hand and spread over both hands. Without adding more water, scrub thoroughly for about five minutes. Repeat. Patient pre-operative skin preparation - after the surgical area is clipped, wet it with water. Apply Scrub (1 cc is sufficient to cover an area of 20-30 square inches). Develop lather and scrub thoroughly for about 5 minutes. Rinse off using sterile gauze saturated with water.
Storage:
Store at 25°C (77°F): excursions permitted between 15°-30°C (59°-86°F).
Store in original container.

Not for use on food producing animals.
