Have you been needing the dummy bell ringing unit for your Missouri Pacific Merchandiser set? Here is as UNIQUE opportunity to grab just the -1 model. If you are looking to add one to a really nice set, this may be your best chance to do so!
You are looking at an American Flyer iconic diesel A unit from 1959-60.  This bell ringing non-powered diesel was a part of the set that headed up the famous 20540 Merchandiser set.
While this dummy A was included in the freight set, the Merchandiser, if you want to add it to your Eagle passenger consisit, who is going to tell on you???
(The 20475 Eagle set was actually pulled by the 21920 diesels with an electronic horn, but if you wanted the BELL version, or even better, a consist with a BELL and a HORN), add this bell unit and you have a heck of a set!
Note that the blue of this unit is really hard to photograph--it may actually be a hair darker in person than it appears in the flash pics.
THE 21922-1 MISSOURI PACIFIC PA Bell Ringer
Tested and the bell rings. Beautiful paint, strong yellow stripe, and sharp silver printing--perhaps best printing I have seen on a Flyer MoPac diesel. As you can see, this unit is C7 with a few small nicks keeping it from C8. There are a few light scratches and rubs: a couple of small edge nicks on the nose (look on back corner edge in the picture of the engine facing to the left); one tiny spot of touch up in the blue on nose; a few scratch on the roof showing black underneath, all visible in pics; three very small nicks (longest is 1/8") on rear roof corner; a few very small rubs on Eagle decal on nose.
The cosmetic horn is loose in the hole on roof (will let you secure).
No breaks, cracks or warps. Overall, the colors and printing are strong.
